The process involves the use of large amounts of water and electricity, as well as hazardous substances (our wastewater treatment and discharge are compliant with all local standards and legal regulations). To deal with these issues, YKK developed AcroPlating^® finishing technology, an innovative technology that does not require the use of hazardous substances, such as cyanogen and chromium.
