Caring for AquaGuard® zippers

VISLON® AquaGuard® zipper is a VISLON® water resistant zipper with polyurethane laminated on the tape. The special element design provides enhanced water resistance. This zipper is water repellent, not waterproof/watertight.

[Application] Do not use in curved application since slider may cut the tape.
Avoid applications where PU zippers will come into contact with “vinyl,” such as PVC or PU.

[End Use Instruction] Avoid prolonged exposure to heat and humidity and keep the zipper away from direct sunlight. UV may cause yellowing of the PU film.
Minimal degradation may occur, but this will not affect the performance of the film.
Repeated bending of the zipper may cause cloudy film.

[Washing] Tumble Dry, Normal, Low Heat.

[Dry-cleaning] Petroleum based solvent is recommended. Do not use Chlorine based solvent.

[Ironing] Avoid ironing. It may flatten the film and cause the film to melt.

Caring for AQUASEAL® zippers

AQUASEAL® zipper is a waterproof zipper. Its flexible and lightweight properties make it perfect for dry bags, dry suits, and outdoor equipment.

[For Storage] Rinse off any dirt or grime on both sides of the zipper, taking care not to bend it.
Do not place any heavy object on the zipper.
Store away from heat and moisture.

[When in use] Slowly move the slider when operating. Angular pulling may cause element mis-engagement and may result in poor waterproof performance or zipper damage.
Do not apply an excess load to the bottom stop when operating the zipper, or it may damage the stop or the zipper.
Provide appropriate reinforcement near the stop.
