In the spring, the Foundation received fashion design proposals, designed under the theme of Verticality, from nearly 300 students representing 85 fashion institutions from 28 countries. Hosted at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech, 50 finalists were selected from that group by a panel of judges to send their “mini collections” down the runway. At stake is a chance to win apprenticeships with renowned fashion houses across the globe including the Métiers d’art – Chanel, Manish Arora in Delhi and scholarships for the Foundation’s Master Classes that take place each summer and winter at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
