The Fundamental Behavior that I have the opportunity to write about is one of my favorites, and personally I am grateful to be part of the YKK family because it is a company that cares about the welfare of all staff.

This Fundamental Behavior includes all of us in general, but in my particular case I can say that those who initiated me to this behavior were my parents, by instructing me with principles and values of life and enrolling me in school to start my educational process, during which time the teachers gave me my academic training, allowing me to develop professionally in my daily work.

From my parents I learned that I must be grateful, that I must always give the best of myself ,and that with God by my side I can achieve everything I set my mind to.

Remembering my first years in the company, at the beginning I was in charge of Accounts Receivable. I was a young graduate with basic knowledge so it was a challenge for me to start my job. After a while, the manager gave me the opportunity to handle sales statistics. This motivated me to improve my skills in Excel and learn, with the support of my colleagues, about customers, types of industries, and to prepare and analyze what kind of information was required etc., and thus perform my role in the best way and be a good support for the company in terms of statistics.

To this day I can tell you that it has been a constant learning process. The use of new systems that have been installed in the company, useful tools such as the showcase, new functions and Excel formulas have allowed me to automate my work and have helped me to enjoy my job every day.

As Henry Ford said: “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”

Learning never stops, like knowledge on the job. Seek to go beyond what you are asked to learn. Learning is a daily adventure that one takes and explores throughout life. People who are truly effective generally engage in constant learning and compete with themselves to grow and learn every day.

I believe that knowledge is worthless if it is not shared. When I have been able to share some of what I have learned with others, it has been of great satisfaction.
